Sustainability Policy and Initiatives

MRI, to the extent permitted by principles driven best business practices, expends all reasonable efforts to reduce its
carbon foot-print and contributions to the solid waste stream.  Our sustainability initiatives are outlined herein and
persons and organizations that have comments, questions or concerns should contact Mr. Ortal directly.

Green Initiatives

  • All electronic devices and peripherals, except for telephones and Voice-Mail instruments, are turned off every
    evening at 6:00 P.M. Pacific Standard or Daylight Savings Time
  • Paper products used to conduct our business shall, so long as they meet printing specifications, contain not less
    than fifty percent (50%) and, if available, up to one hundred percent (100%) of post-consumer content
  • Other office supplies, to the extent possible, will be from green manufacturers
  • Due diligence is exerted to ensure that whenever possible multiple tasks are accomplished during any vehicle trip
  • Successful procurements by MRI of $1,000 or more dollars must have received not less than three (3) firm quotes
    from green vendors
  • Vehicles rented to conduct MRI business shall be the most fuel efficient vehicle available in the U.S. car rental
    market
  • MRI owned or leased vehicles needing replacement will be replaced with the most fuel efficient vehicle(s) on the
    market
  • As permitted by best business practices vehicles shall be U.S. manufactured
  • To the extent possible, vehicle purchases or leases shall be procured from Lane County, Oregon, dealerships
